  Dual Boot This!
wheeee installed OS X 10.5 "Leopard"

so shiny... also got around to finally reinstalling XP.

which brings us to today's topic of dual booting operating systems..

or problems encountered... which is of different shortcuts for different operating systems....
spent 3 hours in windows and now all my finger memory has gone...

I also think I allocated too little space.. (only 8 GB free for instally stuff)...

also... wtf.. our COMP1921 lecturer keeps going on about how the textbook is so shit and that students shouldn't have to buy a textbook for a computing subject... and then in the exam prep notes he says that everybody should read through the textbook >.<

  What I've Done
Heyo All!
New name for the blog "A R T R a c k s"

basically Artr tracks... meh... it seems cool... maybe I'll change next time i post (indecisiveness is a killer in many parts of the world........)

Things which have been in the last few weeks
INFS Assignment, maths tests, Accounting tests, Tam's Birthday, Oktoberfest, ComSoc Elections, Envision "Wynning" the elections and LINKIN PARK CONCERT!

LP was amazing, they played all their best songs and a bit more. Ringing ears, soar throat, aching muscles, sweaty t-shirt. Evidence of the insane awesome of Linkin Park. We were situated in a really interesting position in that we could see the whole stage and were quite close, and could also see into the back tech area. Either way had great time with my mates and got to scream my head off.

ComSoc elections was crazy. It started off pretty plain on both sides, but from what i've seen and heard i think alot of loathing has developed over those four days. The different teams generally being rude to each other and basically the whole student body of UNSW now loathing commerce students.... hmmmm.. What really pissed me off the most was seeing the regular occurrence of a single voter standing there with members from both teams, literally arguing across ideas, petty ideas about the note sharing forum and generally dissing each other. There were much better strategies which we could've engaged in but yeah, lack of control on both sides.

In amongst all this chaos would be uni class tests and assesments.... yaaaay. My group for INFS< style="font-weight: bold;">BDSM, basically chucked together our assignment at hte very last moment... with pretty good results... i hope... it was fun.... but don't think i'll do it again..

Anyway thanks for reading...

A Labor front is approaching the North Sydney Region tonight
Wow I'm making a post.

Basically I've realised I have these shitloads of thoughts that go through my head which is causing me insomnia... so I'm going to try this for a while.

Anyway TODAY I HAD BEERS WITH MIKE BAILEY the weatherman from ABC! Today we founded the Young Labor Party for North Sydney! Was great, got picked up from uni by felix at 6:00 and got to North Sydney in a very short time with absolutely no traffic between the two. *huggles ED and Harbour Tunnel*
We got to listen to Mike Bailey and a condensed story of his background like how he was the "first person to resign from the ABC in Disneyland" and the "First person to join the Labor Party in Disneyland" (he was there for a relative's wedding).Which all led together to be a nice amount of "kool-aid" about the labor party and him. The most hilarious part was when he was making statements against the Federal Liberal party like "I reckon that a government which has been in power for so long must be getting lazy" and by reading between the lines he's simply stating that the NSW Government needs to go, but there's nobody better to replace them.
Afterwards we headed to a pub called the Rag and Famish Hotel and we shared some beers with him and chatted about politics etc. So annoyed that I didn't bring my camera, would've been AWESOME publicity photos, actually I'm surprised that there wasn't a newspaper there to document it, I mean, a labor politician sharing beers with students in his electorate. What better is there?!?

OMG THE PAIN IT HURTS SO MUCH
So currently i have a HUGE ulcer/cut on the back of my tongue and IT FUCKING HURTS!

This is the result of a girl jumping into my chin at the 30 Seconds to Mars concert last Friday and an ulcer developing out of it.

now i can't exist with pain shooting up my nerve through my ear and into my brain. Seriously it's so bad my ear hurts from it.

can't move my tongue at all without it hurting, including swallowing saliva, eating, drinking... existing..

so yah, story of my week so far....

  Study?
Ahhh the great adventure of studying for exams. This weeks weather, productiveness is at an all time low and it seems that we won't be encountering motivation any time in the likely future.

Why is it so hard to just knuckle down and study? I just sit at my desk and the second my but hits the chair I wanna pop up and do something else... *sigh*.

  water
As I type the rain falls enduringly onto the tiles of my roof, through the gutter and somehow making a form of annoying yet calming clanging noise. This has been an interesting week for rain with storms at the beginning of the week moving onto a good soaking today. Even so with all this rain, we are being told that our water reserves are running low and that we'll be getting a desalination plant.

We don't need a desalination plant. Sure desalination has worked in the arab states, but they have a heap of sun, absolutely no rain, and very little care for its natural environment. Clearly there are much better pathway which the state government can take before it decides to ruin a part of a coastline. The money could easily be spent on education of water usage and regulating use of drinking water. The fact that we flush our toilets and clean our cars with drinking water is quite startling and that we can't really do anything about it. Large scale recycling is a much more suitable and cheaper alternative to desalination with the problem being that the general population would much prefer desalinated water to poop water. It'd be great of once in a while that the populace have a say in what the government spends its money, but that is probably just a pipe dream.
